Auf dieser Webseite kann man ein paar Tage im vorraus schauen wo man wann am besten Nordlichter beobachten kann. Europa, Nord- Amerika, Alaska kann man einzeln anschauen.

Diese Webseite hat mir wirklich gute Dienste geleistet, als wir im Herbst 8 Wochen in Island waren. Bis Kategorie 4 sieht man mit blossem Auge nur einen weissen Schleier am Himmel. Mit der Kamera, auch mit der Handykamera, kann man jedoch schon hier die Farben der Aurora sehen. Ab Kategorie 6 sieht man mit blossem Auge die typischen Farben der Nordlichter. Mit der Kamera von meinem Telof konnte ich im Nachtmodus gute Bilder machen. Bei Vollmond sogar ein Video aufnehmen.

This website was very helpful during our 8 weeks in Iceland in fall. At a category 4 you can see usually only a fade white cloud. Your camera already can pick up the green colors of the aurora. I was able to get some good pictures with the night shot of my mobile phone. At a category 6 you are able to see the typically aurora lights with your naked eye. At full moon i could even make a video.
