The most important thing first: City camping place that exclusively takes cash (also €). There are no cash machines in the surroundings!
The camping place is on one of the Vltava river islands near central Prague. Trains, streets and also music from the city could be heard, but to us, it wasn’t distractingly loud. The parking/standing places are lined up quite densely along the Vltava, partially under trees and with gravel for ground.
The tent area is separate and surrounded by trees. Immediately next to it is the sanitary building, shower house and reception, as well as a restaurant.

The camping place should be open even in November.
WiFi is good, sanitary facilities are clean, the kitchen is old but has two fridges, a microwave, a four-plate and two two-plate stoves. The kitchen didn’t appear particularly clean to me though.
The restaurant at the camping place has good and simple cuisine. You can pay there with a credit card, but there aren’t many tables available, you might need to wait.
An UBER costs about 12€ to the city center (in 2018) and takes about ten minutes. Bus/tram tickets are available from the reception (cash only), to the stop it’s about 10-15 minutes on foot but the bus stops 24h a day. Personally I find it too far to walk to the city center, you do want to still have the energy to stroll around in town. The foot ferry at the end of the land tongue takes about 5-10 minutes walk and from there you might be able to get into the city center on foot. The foot ferry is also available in the evening.

On the same island as the aforementioned camping place. Everything still seemed very new (2018) and I couldn’t find an associated website. Travel as before but just drive past the first camping place, until you almost reach the end of the island. The Camping place is to the left.
It seems like this place might only be open during peak season.
